CEOL is a young band from all over Ireland with a passion for folk music. Discovered by Nathan Carter and Liam McKenna. Taking inspiration from The Dubliners, The Chieftains, Mumford and Sons, and many other great Irish and international artists before them, CEOL are bringing folk music to a new generation.

CEOL was formed after a nationwide search of more than 1,000 people. Launched in 2022, the band released their self-titled debut album which hit 3,000,000 streams on Spotify within the first month of release. Hits include Beeswing, Heave Away (feat Nathan Carter), The Ferryman, Big Strong Man, Some Say The Devil Is Dead, Travellin Soldier and many more.

Nathan Carter said: “The idea came to me when I was travelling around Ireland and seeing so many talented young musicians singing and playing in pubs every night of the week. I thought to myself, there is an opening here for a great young band who play a mix of old folk songs with a contemporary modern twist.

Within 6 months of joining TikTok, they amassed over 5 million views, making them Ireland’s fastest-growing debut music artist on the platform at the time.

They made their TV debut on The Late Late Show (RTE1) in March 2022. Throughout summer 2024 they were a fixture on the UK and Irish festival scene, delighting crowds with their unique style of harmonies and modern folk music. And 2024 has seen CEOL headline their own tour, with SOLD OUT shows throughout the UK and Ireland, with upcoming gigs in USA, Canada and Europe.
