The Bugle Babes were formed by Derby Browne and are a superb 1940’s style harmony trio, performing hits from The Andrews Sisters with a cocktail of jazz, swing, jive and lashings of vintage glamour and romance, reminiscent of the days of the wireless.
This trio of pencil-skirted, vintage coiffed, stocking’d ladies perform a magical blend of music and are the icing on the cake at any tea party! Enjoy ‘The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy’, ‘In The Mood’, ‘Rum and Coca-cola’ and a 1940’s version of ‘I Will Survive’ and plenty more surprises in the Biscuit Tin!
Performing the hits from their debut recording, ‘Gee Whizz!’
When Derby, Lou & Eileen got together they became Irelands hottest female harmony group, The Bugle Babes. Their voices are pure, pitch-perfect and have a porridge-like energy.
They perform on tv and the wireless all over the country, wherever you drop your nickel! Performances include RTE, TV3 and have performed at all the top festivals and theatres in the land.
The Bugle Babes have created a brand new show for the winter season with The Sherry Trifle Show, featuring songs from 1940s, 50’s and 60’s sister acts. Curl your hair and come out, warm your toes on the toasty tunes, spread the jam on your scone. A wonderful winter-wonderland homage to the gals who went before them, performing fabulous hits like: Sisters, Volare, Sleighride and many more delights by The McGuire Sisters, Andrews Sisters, Glen Miller and music from TV hits series, ‘Mad Men’.
